From a Physical Part to a Production-Ready CAD Model
We turn an existing part's dimensions and geometry into digital data and make it reproducible.
From Part to Production
Even without technical data (a CAD file or drawing), an existing part becomes reproducible by going through the steps below.
Not Just Copying
Reverse engineering isn't simply copying the part in your hand. It's used to make parts reproducible when their technical data is lost, they are discontinued or their supplier no longer exists. It also helps to fix a weakness in an existing design or adapt a part to a different production method.
From Physical Part to Produced Part
Your part becomes reproducible through scanning and modelling. It isn't just copied: where needed, details such as tolerances, wall thickness and connection points are updated for production. At the end, you receive an editable STEP (STP) model — and if you wish, we produce the part too.
Often Combined with Reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering usually starts with 3D scanning and ends with quality control after production.
