CAD Design

Not just drawing the part — turning it into a design that can actually be manufactured.

Scope

CAD Design Scope

From designs built from scratch to revisions of existing models, technical drawings and assembly design. This service comes in when you don't yet have a production-ready file, or when your existing file needs a review before production.

01New Part DesignStarting from your requirement or idea, we build a CAD model from scratch that suits the production method. Function, assembly fit and manufacturability are evaluated together at the design stage, so decisions that could later require revisions are addressed from the start.
02Revision of an Existing DesignWe review and update your CAD data for wall thickness, tolerances and assembly fit. Adapting a part designed for another method (casting, CNC machining, injection moulding, etc.) to FDM 3D printing is also covered.
03Design for ManufacturabilityWe make the design production-ready by considering print orientation, support requirements and material behaviour. The wrong orientation or unnecessary supports directly affect both surface quality and mechanical strength, so these decisions are made during design.
04Technical DrawingsWe prepare technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances and surface information for production and inspection. These documents serve as the reference for dimensional checks after production.
05Part and Assembly DesignFor assemblies of multiple parts, we design fit and function together. Tolerance stack-up (the total deviation created when part tolerances add up in an assembly) and fastener placement are checked in advance so assembly goes smoothly.
06Design Specifically for 3D PrintingWe design parts specifically for FDM, considering print orientation, supports and strength. Mechanical behaviour that depends on layer direction is a critical factor we take into account at the design stage.
Design Approach

Design and 3D Production Go Hand in Hand.

When designing a part, we consider the production method, material and function together from the very beginning. For us, manufacturability isn't a box to tick afterwards but an input that shapes the design itself — which significantly reduces the need for revisions after production.

Design Takes Shape Together with Production

During modelling, we make decisions such as wall thickness, tolerances and print orientation in the same environment. When the design is finished, you have a production-ready file.
