Services / Quality Control
Measure, Compare, Verify.
Evaluating a produced part's dimensional conformity by comparing it with a digital reference or its CAD data.

Scope
Quality Control Scope
We cover every step of dimensional verification, from scanning to post-production inspection. You can use this service for parts we produce and for parts produced elsewhere or by another method.
013D Scan-Based MeasurementThe whole part is scanned to capture surface and geometry data. Compared with measuring individual points, this gives far more comprehensive data about the entire surface.
02CAD ComparisonThe scan data is aligned and compared with the original CAD model. After alignment, the difference between the produced part and the design data is calculated for every point.
03Deviation / Colour MapDeviations are visualised on the part with a colour-coded map, showing not only how large a deviation is but exactly where it occurs.
04Critical Dimension ChecksFunctionally important dimensions — mounting surfaces, connection points and areas in contact with moving parts — are verified separately.
05Sample ComparisonA produced sample is compared with a reference part or data so it's ready for approval before production.
06Post-Production InspectionIn series production, dimensional consistency is checked regularly through sampling.
Deviation Map
See Deviation on a Colour Map
You see not just a part's dimensions but where and by how much it deviates geometrically. Especially on complex surfaces, this gives a clarity that single-point measurement can't.

Often Combined with Quality Control
Dimensional verification is often part of a process that starts with 3D scanning or continues with a design revision.
